Diet:

Mixture of seeds, notably plain canary seed and millet, with sunflower, hemp, and safflower added. Provide greens, carrots, and fruit. Pelleted feeds usually provide balanced meals.

Sexing:

Hens have grayish facial coloration, barred tails, and usually less vocal.

Sexual Maturity:

6 months. However, females are bred safely after their second year.

Clutch:

5 eggs.

Incubation:

19 days.
